Over 2000 Quran and 3000 Yasarna donated.

Okoa Mother and Child Initiative has so far distributed over 3000 copies of Qur???an and 8000 copies of Yasarna to Islamic Schools and Madrasa to aid the teaching of Quran and Islam.

According to the project Manager of Okoa Mother and Child Initiative, over 50 Schools and 60 mosques from the Eastern and West Nile region have benefited from the Quran and Yasarna project which is funded by Malaysian Muslims.

Some of the beneficiary Schools include, Ibun Twaha Islamic Primary School, Khadija Education Center, Sumayyah Islamic Infant School, Salaam Islamic Ju45fgrty76juthgevfr2e32wnior and Quran memorization Center, Al-Nujoom Nursery and Primary School, among others.

Isah Wanyerere, the head teacher of Salaam Islamic Junior School expressed joy after receiving 20 copies of Quran and 60 copies of Yasarna on behalf of his School.

???These Quran and Yasarna were shared among the orphans and needy children from poor families that can???t afford them??? Mr. Isah appreciated

Mr. Musisi says that they started the Quran and Yasarna project in 2021, after realizing that there is need especially in rural Muslim founded schools. He adds that the mobilized copies are given to mosques, schools, and some individual persons to promote Quran learning.
