Providing clean, safe drinking water to vulnerable families across Uganda.
Many mothers and children still depend on unsafe water sources. Okoa works with donors and communities to improve access to safe water through boreholes, wells, water tanks, filtration support and water source rehabilitation.
In many underserved communities, families collect water from open streams, swamps, shallow wells and distant water points. This exposes children, pregnant women and mothers to waterborne diseases and also forces them to spend long hours walking for water. Clean water is not only a basic need; it protects health, dignity, education and family wellbeing.
Okoa Mother & Child Initiative mobilizes support for safe water access in rural and vulnerable communities. Our work includes borehole drilling, well construction, rehabilitation of broken water points, water tanks, filtration systems, community mobilization, hygiene awareness and follow-up monitoring.
Donors can support a full borehole, contribute toward a community well, repair an existing water source, donate water tanks, support water filters or contribute any amount toward the Clean Water for the Ummah fund.
Donate for Clean WaterEach donor receives available evidence of implementation, including photos, community location, number of beneficiaries where verified, and a short report explaining what was done.
Your donation can reduce disease, protect children and restore dignity to mothers who struggle daily for safe water.
